Masterclass 1
The Social-Emotional Health (SEH) component aims at helping participants understand themselves and others in their search for significance and meaning in everyday interactions by studying universal patterns of human behavior. After identifying common patterns used to fulfill basic human needs of belonging and the search for significance, participants start developing ideas to make positive contributions to society as well as to achieve the internal peace ideal for learning.
The SEH component has the orientation of helping teachers to learn to put on the oxygen mask first, to prioritize self-care so that they will be more prepared to help people who depend on them: their family, their students, parents, friends so they will gradually feel socially and emotionally fulfilled.

Participation Procedures
The SEH program is open to all in-service and pre-service English teachers with previous registration. To be part of the program, participants need to follow these steps.

Participants who attend 8 reflection sections will gain a certificate of completion, certifying that they have completed over 16 hours of Social-Emotional Health training.

Methodology
The SEH component consists of:
- A set of masterclasses launched in YouTube videos where participants are introduced to core topics of Social-Emotional health to build the cognitive, affective, and behavioral competencies that underscore the way we understand, use, and manage emotions appropriate to learn and act in life.
- Reflection sessions from 6:00 pm to 7:00 pm on selected dates on Zoom, called Coffee with Caro, to follow up on each masterclass. Participants can reflect on the topic of the masterclass and impact of the topic on their professional and personal lives. These reflection sessions will NOT be recorded.
- The masterclasses and reflection sessions will be in Spanish.
- Participants will be given short assignments after each masterclass and reflection session to ensure that they are taking action and making significant progress daily. Participants will be prompted to post on the Teachers Up Facebook Community their questions and stories about how they are making meaning and building constructive actions to work their social and emotional competencies in their lives and with the people they interact with.

- Watch the masterclass.
- Complete a short reflection and evaluation survey.
- After you complete the survey, you will receive a link to register for the reflection session.
- Attend the reflection session on zoom with camera on.
- Do NOT to record (audio or video) any part of the session.
- Complete the reflection and evaluation survey.
