Welcome to the Teachers Up Initiative!
The Teachers Up Initiative is funded by the U.S. Embassy in El Salvador and collaboratively implemented by Teachers Up and ESEN. The Initiative lasts for two years, from November 2021 to November 2023.
The Initiative provides free-of-charge professional development to in-service and pre-service teachers of English from all educational settings (public, private, universities, schools, and language academies) in El Salvador. In 2023, we have expanded our reach to include English for tourism. All in-service teachers of English, tourism professionals, students majoring in English language teaching or tourism are invited to join the Initiative.
The Initiative focuses on four areas: 1) Teaching English Methodology; 2) General English; 3) English for Tourism; and 4) Social and Emotional Health.
