Welcome to the Teachers Up Initiative!
The Teachers Up Initiative is funded by the U.S. Embassy in El Salvador and collaboratively implemented by Teachers Up and Escuela Superior de Economía y Negocios (ESEN) in El Salvador. The Initiative lasts for five years, from November 2021 to June 2026.
The Initiative provides free-of-charge professional development to in-service and pre-service teachers of English from all educational settings (public, private, universities, schools, and language academies) in El Salvador. In 2025, we expanded our reach to include English teachers in Guatemala. All in-service teachers of English, students majoring in English language teaching, and English teacher trainers in El Salvador and Guatemala are invited to be part of the Initiative.
In 2025, the Initiative focuses on four areas: 1) English Teaching Competencies; 2) English Proficiency; 3) Social and Emotional Health, and 4) Scholarships and Recognitions.
