Overview The Teachers Up Excellence in Assessment Award recognizes outstanding classroom English teachers in El Salvador who use assessment as a powerful tool to support, guide, and improve student learning. Launched in 2026 as part of the partnership between Teachers Up and ITTCI, this award highlights educators who demonstrate that assessment is not just about grades—but about growth, feedback, and meaningful learning experiences. Eligibility Applicants must:
Application Process To apply, teachers submit four components via this Google form by May 31, 2026. 1. CV Highlighting their teaching experience, qualifications, and any relevant technology-focused professional development 2. Short Reflection (Max. 300 words) Prompt: How do you use assessment to support student learning in your English classroom? Teachers may include one specific example and focus on clarity, purpose, and impact. 3. One Sample Assessment Submit one example of an assessment, such as a test or quiz, a rubric, a speaking or writing task, a project-based activity. Include a short explanation (2–3 sentences), specifying student level, objective of the assessment, and explanation of how it was used in class. 4. Evidence of Practice Applicants submit either 2–3 photos (e.g., student work, feedback, classroom activity) OR 1 short video (1–2 minutes) explaining how they use assessment Selection Process
